Access your strengths!!

Hey Lemon Drop hope you've been feeling good about yourself and loving yourself lately? In my last post I talked about the
importance of self love and how it could lead to self confidence.

I started off this post with "the comparison is the killer of joy" mantra because it really is. I know you've heard it a lot from different places and sources, the thing is, it really is the killer of joy. Its really easy to fall into comparison especially in our era where everything or a lot of things are based on numbers:how much is in your account, how many followers do you have on Instagram (this one got me bad at some point) how many likes do you have on a picture, how many blah blah blah, there's a lot more. With the way it is, it's almost easy to feel bad about yourself and compre you lives to other people's lives but you lift your eyes and stare at your reflection in the mirror and whisper the words "I am more than a number!"
How can you overcome this bad habit of comparing yourself? First and foremost you need to ACCESS YOUR STRENGTHS!

You need to not allow yourself be limited by your limitations. I'm not going to be generic and tell you that you can do anything you want to, you just need to believe in your self NOPE! It doesn't work that way. *loud disc scratch* I know its tough to take in but its the truth; a fish cannot walk on land, no amount of believing in itself can make that happen, it can dream of walking on land but it can't. What am I saying here, I'm saying to focus on your what you're good at. Someone who isn't ready to do the work shouldn't prepare their mind on benefits. If you don't know maths, don't pressure yourself too much and begin to aspire to be a mathematician. We all have weaknesses. The trick is to determine which ones are improvable, then get to work on those and forget about the rest. You need to do the BEST you can with what you have!

Before you venture on, I want you to remember and always remind yourself that you are unique. As kids we are told that we are special that we will be great, we will fulfill some dream that our parents have for us and when we dont meet up with such expectations we are weighed down.

Lemon Drop, here's the plot twist you already came to the earth with a purpose, not the ones your parents have for you, not the one society has for you but the one YOU have for you, the one God put inside of you. Its there, I promise you just have to really want it and work towards it.

Genetics say that the odd of your parents having another child like you is one in a 10,000,000,000². Thats 1 in 10 billion raised to power two which is really highhigh, don't look at me, I don't know maths very well.
The only number that matters is 1 and that's You! So put you first and focus on your strengths and forget about your weaknesses.
When life gives you Lemons you make lemonade!
